The term Corten steel is on everyone's lips. However, few people know that it can be harmful to the health of humans, animals and plants, as Corten steel contains heavy metals. For this reason, we use normal steel made from natural iron for our products, which also contains valuable minerals for plants. The so-called noble rust layer is always individual and unique. It should be noted that rust stains can occur on stone slabs and the like. To prevent this, we recommend always using a base and protecting the substrate.

The surface discolors at first. After some time, the rust eats into the surface and the discoloration is reduced. It should be noted that rust stains can occur on stone slabs and the like. To prevent this, we recommend always using a carpet pad and protecting the surface.

This is just the rolling skin peeling off, which is quite normal with natural rust. You can peel off the affected area and then apply a mixture of water and vinegar (3/4, 1/4) to the area. The rusting process will continue immediately.

The goods can be accepted subject to this reservation. We request that you notify us subsequently in writing or by telephone so that we can discuss the next steps with you.

Case 2: Concealed damage

Late notification of damage will result in Creasteel being released from any obligation to pay compensation.

We deliver the product to you free of charge and as close to your front door as possible. You will be contacted by our carrier one day before delivery, who will inform you of the delivery time. Please note that the placement in the garden must be organized by yourself. If this is not possible, we will send our installation team to you. This service is subject to a charge and must be requested separately.

No, we don't do that. It's best to contact a firewood seller in your area. That way you'll be supporting regional suppliers at the same time.

The plant pot has a base with drainage holes, the raised bed does not, it is completely open at the bottom.

No, it's best to contact a gardener in your area.

The weight of our raised beds can be calculated using the formulas below. You can also find the formulas directly on the product page.

Calculation of raised bed weight:
Length (cm) x height (cm) x wall thickness (cm) x2 + width (cm) x height (cm) x wall thickness (cm) x 2 x 8 kg / 1000 = weight in kg

The basic version consists of the tray with welded-in intermediate base and the middle ring, which is used to hold the middle grill plates and various accessories.

Yes, that is not a problem. Delivery is also free of charge.

Yes, the plates will discolor slightly. However, they are food-safe and do not rust.

We recommend the plate with slits for meat and fish products. On the full plate, these float on the oil when frying, which leads to a change in taste. The fat drips off through the slit openings and burns in the firebox.

Stainless steel variant 1, cold plates:

  1. Scrape away the food residue with a spatula
  2. Spray the grill plates with a cleaning agent (we recommend Alca Sgrassatore)
  3. Clean the surface thoroughly using a steel sponge or similar

Stainless steel variant 2, hot plates:
Use the residual heat to clean the plates.

  1. Scrape the plates with a spatula to remove all coarse grill residue.
  2. Pour water onto the still warm/hot plates. Beware of the steam development. The remaining residues are removed by the temperature shock. Leave it to work for a few moments.
We recommend repeating the process if the plates are very dirty.
  3. Scrape off all coarse residues again with the spatula.
  4. Rub the plate with a stainless steel spiral and cleaning agent (e.g. Alca Sgrassatore)
  5. Rinse the grill plate with water and a soft sponge.

Steel

The most important rule to keep the patina beautiful: Never use washing-up liquid!
Washing-up liquid removes the patina and the whole baking process has to start all over again. After grilling, it is therefore best to remove food residues with a ladle or a normal grill turner. The fire plate can also be wiped clean with water without any problems. To ideally protect the fire plate from rust, it is also advisable to apply a light film of oil after grilling.

As this is only the finest ash dust, the ash does not necessarily have to be removed. However, if necessary, the hemisphere can be rinsed out through the air slots using a water hose.

Yes, the panels are not continuously welded to the shell. This means that there are gaps and openings everywhere on the surface. The fire therefore has sufficient oxygen.

Between 40 and 50 minutes.

The grill plates can be easily removed from our fire bowls. The bowl alone then weighs approx. 80 kg and can easily be carried by two people (weight specification applies to all hemisphere or cone models).
